- TestimonialsThanks to Janie if I fall, I CAN get up. I’m a home remodeling contractor and am up and down all day. Suffering with pain in both knees for months, I remembered that acupuncture did wonders for me when pain in my wrist posed a huge problem. So why not try it for my knees. I had previously tried acupuncture in Monroeville, Pa., so gas prices dictated where to go. I took a chance in the yellow pages and found Janie’s treatment center. After 4 or 5 treatments, I thought I had new knees. I had no problems after that. That was about 3 years ago and I am still pain free. I tell people about it working for me and get the same response all the time; I’ve heard about acupuncture but I never knew anyone who had it or if it really works. Well, I’m a firm believer... I am most grateful that Janie Sheerin has been an integral part of my health care for the past 17 years. Her treatments, as well as her lifestyle and nutrition suggestions, have enabled me to keep up with the demands of a very physically challenging career. At age 54, she keeps me young and healthy. Whenever my hands, legs or back begin to hurt because of my demanding work schedule, acupuncture and shiatsu massage help me recover and get me back on my feet. I also see Janie for preventative care. She has me on whole food supplements, which have made a huge improvement in my overall health. What can I say, except that I highly recommend Janie Sheerin to anyone interested in improving and maintaining their health long-term.

When I first came to Lemont Acupuncture Centre for my first appointment I was suffering from chronic pain that was a results of a car accident I had over three years ago. When I had my first visit with Janie I had been working with my primary care physician for years to help find ways to relieve my pain, as a result I was put through many different types of treatment. I was in physical therapy off and on for over three years, I was on heavy pain killers, anti-spasms and anti-inflammations. As a results my pain was masked but always returned when the medication wore off. As a result I had to quit my job because the pain become such that I would have panic attacks and was unable to control the anxiety caused by my constant pain. I needed help and I was scared that I was going... Read more »
My son had allergies for 3 years. I had tried many different doctors to relieve his allergies, but none of them found a solution. Then I took him to the Lemont acupuncture and Janie Sheerin. Within 6 weeks his symptoms left. After 3 months his allergies have not come back at all!

I’ve been truely blessed to find and trust Janie with my health and diet, after dealing with a chronic health issue for some time.
Last summer, I began to have severe pain in my digestive track. I was going to the bathroom six times or more times a day and it was causing me to bleed. The doctors... Read more »
Working with Janie Sheerin has changed my life in such a positive way. After years of debilitating illness, I thought I only had the option of traditional medical care. Instead of suffering with the side effects of the numerous medications I was prescribed, I was delighted to get relief with acupuncture and whole food nutrition.
I have had chronic neck pain for about 15 years. This past year it became worse to the point that the pressure was so great on my neck and spine I felt as if I needed to throw up. I had seen two neurologists and one neurosurgeon and none of them could figure out how to treat me. At... Read more »
I am 68 years old and have been suffering with lower-back pain and Sciatica for over 15 years. Last year (2015), I began training to cycle in the Keystone County Bike MS ride, which is 150 miles in two days. My back was not holding up to the training, and, by early spring, I was ready to withdraw from the... Read more »
